Los Angeles Register Endorses Ben Allen for State Senate

Santa Monica, CA -- Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School Board Member Ben Allen has earned the endorsement of Los Angeles Register, a major newspaper in Los Angeles, in his bid to represent California's 26th State Senate District.

Los Angeles Register article announcing the endorsement spoke of California's need of a Legislature that "focuses on the fundamentals of state government, especially as the state struggles to maintain a balanced budget." The article also outlines California's struggle with massive unfunded liabilities.

The article said this of Allen:

"We believe that Mr. Allen has the right balance of experience in government, working with budgets, all the while appreciating the complexity of government finances. The Register endorses Mr. Allen because of his stated commitment to shoring up California’s infrastructure and identifying ways of making the state a friendlier place to do business."

"I am honored to receive the endorsement of Los Angeles Register. The endorsement reaffirms my experience and ability to come up with creative ideas in approaching the challenges that California faces today. The statement of confidence encourages me to work even harder for the readers of the newspaper and all residents of Senate District 26," said Ben Allen.
