Santa Monica, CA -- Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board Member Ben Allen has earned the endorsement of the Los Angeles Chapter of Democrats for Israel after receiving a rating of “Support.”
“As a Jewish American, a Democrat, and a strong supporter of Israel, I am exceptionally proud to receive this endorsement. The Democratic Party has always been a staunch supporter of Israel and organizations such as Democrats For Israel are helping maintain that vitally important tradition.” Said Allen.
“The United States must always remain Israel’s closest and strongest ally and the State of California has been at the forefront of this relationship. As a State Senator, I look forward to working to strengthen and further California’s partnership with Israel.” Said Allen.
Ben Allen was first elected to the Santa Monica and Malibu Unified School District in 2008 and was the top vote getter among all candidates. He was overwhelmingly reelected in 2012, once again receiving the most votes of any candidate running.
The 26th State Senate District consists of the cities of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, El Segundo, Avalon, Lomita, Torrance, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, and Beverly Hills; the Los Angeles neighborhoods of Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, Westchester, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Westwood, Westwood Village, Bel Air, Holmby Hills, Little Holmby, Sunset Hills, Beverly Grove, Mar Vista, Mid City West, Miracle Mile, Larchmont Village, Hollywood, Hollywood Hills, Fairfax, Carthay, Fremont Place, Hancock Park, and Windsor Square; and the unincorporated Los Angeles County communities of Marina Del Rey, San Clemente Island, Santa Catalina Island, Franklin, Centinela, and Ocean View.
