Ben Allen Ahead in Reported Fundraising Mid-Way Through Filing Period

Santa Monica, CA - At this half-way juncture between the only two financial reporting deadlines in a compressed primary race for California's 26th State Senate District, Ben Allen has surged to a commanding fundraising lead in reported contributions. After leading real fundraising in the first financial report, Allen has built a significant lead over the other candidates in the race, according to the California Secretary of State and reported by Around The Capitol.

Ben Allen has been endorsed by Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, Mayor Richard Riordan, Senator Fran Pavley, Congressman Jose Serrano, Los Angeles County Young Democrats, and a long list of current and former state legislators, mayors, councilmembers, school board members, and political organizations from throughout the region.
