Santa Monica, CA - Ben Allen, currently a member, and former Board President, of the Santa Monica-Malibu Board of Education, and a candidate for the California State Senate District 26 will be the featured guest speaker at the Wednesday, August 27 Activist Support Circle public forum taking place from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the Friends Meeting Hall located at 1440 Harvard Street, Santa Monica 90404.
Allen serves on the executive board of the Los Angeles County School Trustees Association, is the Chair of L.A. County's Committee on School District Organization, and is a delegate to the California Democrat State Convention. He continues to be a leader on issues of environmental sustainability, financial accountability, and community engagement.
The forum is free to the public and free onsite parking is available.
Doors open and light snacks will be served at 6:30pm.
The Activist Support Circle, which started in 2005, is an ongoing and open support group for progressive activists that meets monthly to help guard against activist burnout.
